DIY Thankful Board

Share

A few days ago I had my first Apple Cider of the year… I’m pretty sure that means it’s officially Autumn, who needs a calendar? hehe!

This will be the first Thanksgiving without family so the hubs and I are trying to come up with some fun traditions to have with our kids during the holidays. This year I though it would be fun to focus on what we are thankful for so I created this Thankful Board.

DIY Thankful Board

I used Lifestyle Craft’s pocket envelope die from their new Fall Core Collection. This really is such a fun collection!

I am so excited about this thankful board! The whole idea of it is each day in November, up until Thanksgiving, the kids will tell me one thing they are thankful for. We will write it down and put it in the envelope, then on Thanksgiving day we will sit down and read them all!

The envelope die even comes with a die cut for an insert so it’s the perfect size for the envelope!

So here is how I made this fun little thankful board

First. cut out all your envelopes

Next. You will fold them up and glue along the tabs. I also stamped the date on the front of the envelope with my PSA Stamps.

Then I just took an old window frame and used some thumbtacks to hold the twine in place.

I did three rows of twine and then used a mini clothespin to hang the envelopes on. I have a thing for mini clothes pins, I also used them in my shabby chic frame wall. : )

Here’s a view from the back.

So what do you think? Do you have traditions you do with your family? I’m really looking forward to this with kids!

  20. Lovin’ the wheelbarrow! Hahaha, I totally found some treasures that the people we are renting from left behind in their shed :) They left this amazing metal mesh basket thing that I put firewood in for decoration in the winter. It is so cute and they just had it out in their shed collecting dust :) I love this project! Darling!
