Mason Jar Gift Card Holder
I think this might be my favorite post of this series… it’s just so fitting. To me, this just shows how much more special giving a gift card can be!
Let’s face it, nobody LOVES giving gift cards right? It’s kind of our default, I’m out of time, and I don’t want to drag the kids to another store!
Totally nothing wrong with that! I do it all.the.time! SO I thought I would make the gift card giving a little more exciting!
And if you just happen to be giving this to a crafty/DIY kinda person, then they might even love the “wrapping” more than the gift card itself. Just sayin! : )
So to make this I just took an old mason jar I had (an awesome gift in itself!) and wrapped some ruffled jelly roll strips (I had lying around my craft room) around my hand and pushed it down in there. Simple right?!
Then just put the gift card in there and top with some more fabric and decorate the outside!
The first thing I did on the outside was tie another strip of fabric around the neck of the jar and knot it.
Next I made a fun little tag using my PSA Stamps!
PSA just released a fun new line of gift tag stamps, these are AWESOME for a great personalized tag!
Make sure and check out the PSA Stamp Camp for more great ideas on what you can do with these versatile stamps!
And while you are there, be sure and like them on facebook, you never know, you might catch a sale or even win one!
So to make my gift tag, I stamped on my fun little design, wrapped some yarn around the bottom and ric rac around the top… added some baker’s twine and tied it on the jar!
So next time you give a gift card, maybe you have a mason jar lying around so you can have a little extra fun with it!
Don’t forget to come back by tomorrow for one last and final wrapping idea! : )
