Happy Monday Friends! It’s been a crazy weekend with my youngest turning 4, yes FOUR. That’s only a year away from 5! And did I mention my oldest will be 10 soon… that’s double digits. I seriously don’t know how time flies quite like it seems to. Do you ever notice that the day to day life of raising kids seems to mosey on by at the speed of a snail. But when you look back, BAM they are 10 years old! Funny how time works! Anyways… Enough about my mom fears of all my kids growing up! I’m here today to tell you I’m popping in over at my sweet friends blog, Rachel, from Maison de Pax to share my top 5 tips for Updating Your Bathroom on a Budget!
I’m currently knee deep in a bathroom renovation and some of my most popular posts are all about our previous bathroom renovation. Given I’m working on all this stuff right now I pulled together my top 5 Tips on how to move that bathroom over to your “Rooms I’ve Completed List” ; )

Hi, Ashley. Framing the mirror has been incredibly effective here; it looks excellent. Although, personally, I think wall and floor tiling is one of the best ways to boost your bathroom, even on a budget.
For instance, a tired bathroom with a carpeted floor (surprisingly, some bathrooms do still have carpet!) can be kicked up a notch with slate tiles, or simply by making the most of the floorboards, which you can sand and varnish for that “farmhouse” feel.
For the walls, I love a tiled feature wall or mosaic tiling around the bath or shower. Either way, your tips are an excellent place to start!

I know this a pretty old post, but, the pink tile. The house I grew up in had that pink tile with random starbursts on it. Reminds me of my childhood (loving sigh) however, I would not put that into MY house, lol.Garage
