Fall is here, and it’s time to get your outdoor spaces ready! Take a look at these 5 Easy Fall Porch Decor Ideas Anyone Can Do. This post contains affiliate links.
I’m so excited to share today’s post! It’s our first official seasonal porch decor in this house. I’ve shared my front door and a few wreaths, but never the whole porch! Let’s take a look at some Easy Fall Porch Decor Ideas that Anyone Can Do! And not only am I going to share some ideas with you but I’ve teamed up with some amazing bloggers and you will have so much outdoor inspiration after today’s post you’ll be totally prepared to tackle your outdoor spaces!
1. Neutral Textiles for Fall Porch Decor
One thing I try really hard not to do is spend a whole lot of money on Fall specific decor. I prefer to go with neutral decor that can be used in combination with other items year round. Maybe that’s because I choose to spend my money on all the mums and pumpkins ;). But I did purchase this outdoor blanket because we spend so much time out here and it’s always chilly in Wisconsin so it will get tons of use! I also added a few new neutral pillow covers.
2. Using Mums and Pumpkins in Outdoor Fall Decor
Where I spend the majority of my Fall budget is in fresh pumpkins and mums. I’m not sure why I love having fresh pumpkins everywhere, but the struggle is real!
I layered all different size pumpkins and mums on our porch steps for a little depth. Also our porch is kind of high so you can’t see our porch easily, this helps lead the eye up!
3. Add a Wreath to Your Door
If you don’t go all out for outdoor decor, a wreath is one thing I would suggest to use. Even if you don’t do anything else, a wreath just makes it feel more like Fall!
I bought this one, but I’ve made a few in years past. My Modern Leather Wreath is still one of my favorites! But if you’re looking for a new wreath I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite options for you!
5. Outdoor Lighting
Lighting is a big part of setting a mood. Fall is so cozy and I feel like adding some mood lighting is necessary when you utilize your outdoor spaces. We recently added some cafe lights and I absolutely love having these out here! I had a friend stop by the other evening and it was so peaceful to sit out there and have a good laugh with each other!
I also added a few lanterns mixed in with our mums and pumpkins!
Overall I’m so happy with how our porch turned out! We were in a bit of a rush finishing it up because we actually had to head out of town for a wedding, so I’m equally looking forward to decorating for Christmas!

What a lovely space to spend a fall evening in with those lovely lights!
What a beautiful and welcoming space! I too tend to stick to a more neutral color palette for decorating outside in the fall. Pinned.
Very cozy, sweet friend. Love the black and white paired with the traditional fall colors of mums and pumpkins. Bet it’s lovely to sip something out here! x

It’s beautiful, Ashley, and so welcoming. Love the mix of colorful mums and pumpkins. Your fall porch is being featured this weekend at the Snickerdoodle party.
Oh my goodness, so stunning Ashley! I absolutely love every detail – the black and white decor is perfect with the classic fall colours and all the white and orange pumpkins. I can’t wait to have a real porch to decorate when the new build it done!
Even though this is an older post, I enjoyed looking at all the cozy Fall porches again. I am jealous of all of those wonderful, covered spaces and wondering if anybody else has an open patio to decorate, like me. I love to put out my comfy pillows and throws, but in the Midwest, (Chicago burbs) I find myself running to gather them up and tuck back in the garage at the first sign of a grey cloud. Needless to say, there are times I definitely get my steps in! I’d love to hear from others about what they do to decorate open outdoor spaces for Fall.
You will have so much outdoor inspiration after reading today’s piece, which I’ve collaborated on with several fantastic bloggers, that you’ll be well-equipped to take on your outside areas.
