I wish I was organized… I really really do. As a mom to three kids ages five, three, and four months my time to organize is slightly limited. I try when I have time, but quite frankly I’m lucky I am able to write this blog. More times than not I am writing blog posts, editing pictures, or responding to all the lovely Cherished Bliss readers instead of putting away my laundry and putting everything neatly in it’s place. It’s the truth and if you blog you completely understand. I know there are some women out there who can do it, but I am NOT one of them. I am always looking for ways to knock out items on that to do list, but I very very often loose my lists. Sad right? Please tell me I’m not the only one! So I recently headed over to Office Depot and got myself a tablet…. yes, I am catching up with the times, lol.
Now I gave you a small glimpse into my life in the first paragraph… busy mom, unorganized, 3 kids, 3 kids… did I just say 3 kids twice? Well, obviously I needed something very versatile that I can use for my blogging, organizing my life, and let’s be honest… sometimes I need to entertain my children with electronics. Thank goodness the nice man at Office Depot knew more about these things than I did. A few of the major benefits for me about this particular tablet is that it has an Intel Inside Processor which makes for a superspeed app experience, vivid camera and video capabilities, and it browses the internet extremely well. The super awesome Office Depot employee also checked me out right where all the tablets were. He saw I had kids with me and said he could just do it right there so I didn’t have to go through the line… I paid there and everything. I wish I could always check out right where I was standing, lol. But more importantly, he helped me come to an educated decision on what would be good for me!
As a mom and a blogger I am always taking pictures of my kids for Instagram and grabbing quick video’s when the kids are being adorable like this picture I shared on Instgram a few days ago… so having a great camera is a big plus for me!
My kids’ favorite app is the ASUS Artist app. You can paint with your fingers and change between pencil, marker, crayon, and a few others. They are so cute when they draw me pictures. : )
Plus you can save those pictures as a background…we made this one together : )
Another one of my favorite things is that being on an Android Operating System everything syncs up with my google chrome. For instance, if I want to open up on my tablet, what I left open on my computer, I can do that! Since I am always going outside, up and down the stairs, and to pick up my oldest from school, this allows me to pick up where I left off… super convenient on my part! I can also keep all my calendars so I can separate my blogging schedule from my personal schedule.
The battery life is AWESOME! I am world’s worst about plugging things in, so the fact that I don’t have to worry about this with my tablet let’s me focus more on getting stuff done and less on remembering to to plug things in (my husband probably appreciates this more than I do!).
And there is pretty much an app for anything you need to do…
but there’s more… there are the widgets you can put on your homescreen. Like the google search bar that is right there for you. As you can see in the first image in this post, I have my to do list and calendar all right there at a first glance when I look at my Android Tablet. I am world’s worst for setting reminders and then just turning them off and forgetting… now it’s there every time I look at the screen : )
So if you are considering buying a tablet, take a look at the Asus ME302c available here. Or if you would like some more details on what this baby offers you can check them out here.
This is seriously so close to a computer for me, but not even close to the weight of one, and I can carry it with me everywhere! I understand the tablet craze now, they are quite awesome and totally useful for more than just Pinterest ; ) Although that is a pretty awesome app to have!
To answer your first question, you are not the only mom feeling unorganized with a big pile of laundry as you happily work the night away on your blog! I’m right there with you. Although, I only have one daughter, I can’t imagine the challenge of being mommy to three and keeping up all the responsibilities. I’m happy the tablet is going to help you get organized. I know I could definitely use one too! Thanks for sharing how this tablet fits so well into your lifestyle! #client
