Ingredients
- bread of your choice
- butter
- eggs
- salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- First cut a 2 inch heart in the center of the bread using a heart shaped cookie cutter.
- Then butter both sides of the bread.
- Next, heat griddle or skillet on medium to medium low heat and melt 1/4 TBSP butter.
- Lay bread on the griddle or frying pan and crack an egg in the hole. Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 2 minutes or until lightly toasted.
- Flip the egg in a heart and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook another 2 – 3 minutes for a runny yolk, or slightly longer for a set egg.
