Hi! I’m Ashley, the owner and author of this blog and I’m so excited to have you here!

A little about me:

I’m the wife to an amazing man, Chris, and the mother to three adorable children. I love Jesus, coffee, wine, being outside, the mountains, the beach, NYC, and traveling with my kids.

I wasn’t really one of those people who always was in to crafting or creating things, but I was always into drawing floor plans. When I was little I dreamed of a balcony. I’m not sure why, but I always incorporated that into my floor plans! As I got older I got very involved in theatre. But not on the state. I was a backstage person. I loved designing the lights and sets and intended to go to school for Stage Management with a focus in lighting design. I had the BEST tech theatre teacher and he taught me so much. Between my dad and him, that’s definitely where I learned everything I know about DIY and woodworking. Fun fact: My favorite play is Death of a Salesman.

Let’s jump ahead. I met my husband my senior year and we got married when I was 19. When you know you know. He’s my absolute best friend! We’ve always worked at home together (or almost always) and I hate being away from him. We do life together and he’s my favorite person! We got pregnant (while on birth control) so decided to just go ahead and have all our kids young and I will be 44 when my last kid turns 18. We have absolutely no idea how to be adults without also being parents. We took our first solo vacation without them (for more than 1 night) on our 10th anniversary.

We bought a house and sold it in 2008, clearly like the worst possible time. Lesson learned. From there we have bought, flipped, and sold 2 additional houses (currently working on our 3rd) and have increased our profits each time. This blog is all about that journey…..
