A {framed} Summer – Lifestyle Crafts

Happy Tuesday! I’m always a little relieved when Tuesday gets here. I have never been a fan of Mondays. The hubs goes back to work after being at home and helping with the kids…. and well does anyone really like Mondays? So how about a little fun!

Today Lifestyle Crafts released their newest line, Pool Party. Want to see what I made using it?

You might recognize this frame from my Summer Mantel. I left the chalkboard as the background and rotated the frame. Then I just taped my paper in the frame and now I have a cute little display! I think my absolute favorite part about this would have to be the polka dot sun. All suns should be polka dot right? : ) Here is what else you can find in the Pool Party Collection!

I cut out my dies using the Epic 6…. if you are wondering how to do that, I just happen to have a tutorial for that : )

Again, I really do wish I had mad chalkboard skills… but I just have my plain old handwriting. BORING! Do you think there are classes for this… the more I keep doing chalkboard crafts the more I really wish I was skilled in the whole chalkboard art. haha… yes I know I have odd goals in my life!

Can you believe summer is almost over? It’s really weird for me. I’m from Texas, it’s more like summer year round there. I have to admit too, I have never liked “Autumn” probably because it didn’t exist and I never saw the point in decorating with fall colors when it was 90 degrees outside and everything was as green as ever. HOWEVER, being in Wisconsin… I’m thinking it is likely to be my new favorite season.

So this is the last look at my “summer mantel” because I am already getting ready for fall. There is a first time for everything!
