When I looked out the window this morning it looked like it snowed leaves.
I’m not so sure what it is about leaves that are just so gorgeous to me, but I could look at them all day!
And… you know how much I love coffee. I think that was pretty apparent, with the coffee cup that I made .
Since I am also in a new state with not a whole lot of friends, I have really been wanting to invite people over to have coffee,
and to let the kids play (hopefully burn some energy). I hope to start doing that soon, granted I have only been here 6 months and we already moved once while here…
I finally feel like I’m settled in!
So hopefully I can invite people over soon, and I would love to have a cute little set up. So this is how I image in it going : )
Autumn Coffee Luncheon
Picture this: The kids playing ever so quietly with their toys in a room,
myself and the other mom sitting properly on the couch,
sipping on our little cups of coffee discussing the latest weather
Ok, fine… that’s probably a bit out of reach, but hey… we need coffee to deal with the kids screaming and running around throwing things right?
You know how I’m such a huge fan of Lifestyle Crafts! I seriously love using their die cuts, they are so easy and fun!
For this project I used the following Die Cuts:
Feathers Die – From the new Cornucopia Line
Classic Doily Die – Also from the Cornucopia Line
I seriously LOVE that scrapbook paper I used on the doily! It’s at Hobby Lobby if you’re looking ; )
Then I set this all up on my weaved burlap tray, because nothing says fall like burlap!
So all that’s left is to invite someone over, brew a pot of coffee, and have a little adult conversation.
As mother’s we don’t really get that a lot!
Plus we might as well feel like the queen of England while drinking our coffee/tea.
She is probably drinking out of a little bit nicer china though ; ) and I doubt she will have scrapbook paper for decoration, haha!
Hey, you never know, she might see this post and think
“hey, I need a little scrapbook paper decor for my next tea luncheon” (say it in an English accent, it’s funnier, lol!)
Because OBVIOUSLY the Queen of England is reading me blog : )
So, next time you want to have a fun little luncheon, add some fun little decorations and have FUN!
You deserve it!

Wish I lived closer so I could come share a cup of coffe with you. I am reading your post while drinking my coffee out of my cute Halloween mug. Have a great day and enjoy the leaves (in Texas it is still hot so…no leaves turning yet).
Thanks so much! Where in Texas… we just came from the Houston area… my sister says it’s still HOT down there!
I’m in the Houston area (Cypress Area). It is still hot. I’m very jealous of my friends up north and even my parents in Arkansas saying what beautiful, cool weather they are haviing with the leaves turning. We just have hot!
We just came from Houston and my sister says it’s still hot… although you had a cool front come through for a few days right? Hopefully it is a nice winter for yall down there this year!
how sweet Ashley!! perfect idea!!
Thanks ladies! Wish my coffee was always served up like that, lol!
Isn’t autumn just a more evocative word? Fall is too long and has too many syllables that don’t exactly roll off the tongue. As cv writer said Autumn sounds better with all other words- apples, pumpkins, boots. The fall season starts in September and ends in November.
