Back in time {Jan–Mar}

One of my best bloggy friends, Janette, is hosting this link party along with a few other fabulous women. The idea is to recap through the year in 3 month segments. I thought this would be kind of fun, so I hope you will join in too!

So let’s take a look at the first 3 months.

{January-February-March}

I started my blog in January. Honestly, my blog as a whole was pretty awkward in these first 3 months. I originally started it to help promote my etsy shop and well… I really enjoyed it and it kind of grew from there. Unfortunately, it took me a few months. I didn’t even realize all this blog stuff was out there…it was a whole new world to me.

So let’s take a look at the first few months.

The one thing I am proud of is my very first tutorial. I made this for my daughter when I was pregnant…way before I started my blog, but I got a lot of compliments on it, I thought it would be a good first tutorial, and it is one of my most read posts still! : )

 
After that came my second tutorial (also from my daughter’s room)
 

and well, other than these two things I was spending my time getting out all my lame blog posts (not that they aren’t still lame), I like to think I was finding myself. You can browse through my archives if you want, but they are pretty boring. It will get better when we recap the the rest of the year, I promise! : )

Together they are raising their children, and turning their house into a home one project at a time.     I think the first couple of months of starting a blog is a little awkward, I found myself thinking the same about mine.

    I definitely felt like my first couple of months I was trying to find my focus–very awkward. Though I still struggle with that a little bit now!

    I LOVE the crib mobile. I can see why it gets so many hits.

    Aw I remember these posts!! So fun!! this is about the time we started figuring out the stages our baby girls were in and figuring out the blog world all together!! You've come such a long way!! I'm in awe!!!
