I received compensation from BHG at Walmart for my time and participate in the BHG Live Better Network. But as always, all opinions are my own!
When Better Homes and Gardens asked me a few months back if I would be interested in coming to their headquarters, meeting some of the editors, and get a behind the scenes look at what they do I stood there for about this for a millisecond before screaming YES. And when I say scream I mean literally scream while typing it back to them in an email. I was seriously so honored and excited that they asked me to be a part of the new Better Homes and Gardens Live Better Network! Today I am going to take you with me on a virtual tour of their headquarters! I should apologize for all the scrolling that’s about to happen cause this post is a bit picture heavy : )
Part of our trip was to see some of these products in action, and we got to see several rooms set up by some fabulous designers, and guys… seriously.. these products are awesome! You are going to love them!!
Some of the things you will see are already available, and some you will see in Spring 2015, so if you can’t find them online then it’s because you are getting a little sneaky peek!! ; )
Everything was just gorgeous and perfectly set up! I can’t wait to show you guys how versatile some of these items are! I think my absolute FAVORITE thing of the whole trip and my blogging career was seeing that they used my Succulent Planter Idea in their design. Seriously? I almost died!!
Then we got to sit down and watch Nancy Hopkins work her magic! It was amazing what this lady could do with food! She taught us about decorating for entertaining and some great price friendly ways you can bring food into your decor! I loved every second of her presentation!!
This was a very fast paced trip! We had lots to see and all in a day’s time, so we quickly headed down to where they do their photo shoots and got a peek at how they operate! We got to see all the BHG Products used in these rooms! This headboard is to die for and it is super affordable!! I think I will be needing one for our room! Did I mention that all their bedding is heavenly to the touch! No disappointment there!
Ok, one thing I probably struggle with most is organization! Organization is very important with 3 kids, but also very hard to do with 3 kids. I’m excited to implement some of these BHG Products into my life! They have so many awesome baskets! I love my baskets!
Better Homes and Gardens isn’t just all about the indoors (obviously), so we got to take a tour of their fully functioning Test Garden! This is where they do a lot of their outdoor photo shoots. I have a little secret. I absolutely LOVE photographing the outdoors! I would love to improve my photography skills just for this reason! No words are necessary for the next few pictures… just enjoy nature’s beauty!
I took so manypictures, it took me a while to pick out a few. You just couldn’t take a bad picture in there! So much respect for the lovely lady who works full time on this garden, she was a true hard worker!
And after looking through this beautiful garden we were able to tour the entire Meredith Campus. We were greeted by this fabulous art hanging from the ceiling.
Then we migrated to one of my favorite places, their prop and workshop area. It was a blogger’s dream come true! I wanted to bring it all home with me! Oh the things I could have built in that workshop!
And just because this was my favorite picture…. : )
After we were done seeing as much as we could squeeze in to one day we headed out to the Iowa State Fair where I got to see a cow made of butter! It was pretty insane! I wish I had a better picture of it for you!
So that concluded our trip, and I can’t wait to get working on this stuff for you guys! I know you are going to be amazed at how far your money will take you with these BHG Products at Walmart!
