Christmas has officially made it’s way into our home, and I’m not upset about it! I know some people prefer to wait until after Thanksgiving and I totally get that, I do. Personally, I like the coziness of Christmas decor and prefer to enjoy it a little longer than a few weeks. But no matter when you decide to decorate for Christmas, myself and a group of lovely ladies will be giving you a peek into our homes with some beautiful decor from Kirkland’s, and we hope you’ll find a little inspiration in our posts! So it’s my pleasure to welcome you into our Cozy Christmas Entryway! : )
Every year I always have these grand plans of doing something a little different and maybe going a little more sophisticated and glamourous. But every year I come right back to my roots, cozy, casual, and comfortable! It’s who I am at Christmas. Ok fine… it’s me all year long! I’m a pajama wearing kind of Christmas person! I want all the hot drinks and fuzzy blankets! So grab yourself a cup of coffee and come on in!
Out Door Mat || Snowman Wreath
This year I went pretty simple on our front porch. We don’t have a whole lot of space and there’s just no way to really decorate it that isn’t slightly awkward. I suppose you’d just have to see it in person to understand what I’m really talking about… But you HAVE to have an adorable wreath (this is a Christmas rule) and this little snowman just needed to be on our front door! He jingles and my kids love him!
Don’t forget to wipe your feet!
haha… I kid. I seriously doubt my floors are any cleaner than the bottom of your shoes between my 3 kids and huge goldendoodle!
Welcome to our little entryway. The place were everyone throws there stuff and I force them to put it away. Ahhh the joys of motherhood!
Fur Trimmed Plaid Pillow || Gray Faux Fur Pillow
I think my goal was secretly to cover the bench so the kids had nowhere to put their stuff! Although I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to have conversations about how they can’t steal my comfy throw pillows. They always take my pillows! What’s up with that?? Are your kids pillow thieves too?
My favorite thing about these two new pillows from Kirkland’s (the plaid one and the fur one) is that they not only fit in to my whole cozy theme for Christmas… you can keep them straight through winter without being the person who leaves their Christmas decor up til February! ; ) See some people get upset when I decorate early.. but I’m totally the person who has her Christmas stuff down right after Christmas. I’m ready for the new year and I try really hard to get my house clean. So maybe that’s why my Christmas decor going up doesn’t bother me too much, because I really try to use a lot of stuff that can stay through winter!
Basically I just use lots of pillows and throw blankets, throw a few winter looking trees in there and call it Christmas ; )! Our main Christmas tree is the main thing that screams Christmas in our home!
P.S. Those gray bins under the bench are totally full of kids dirty, muddy shoes! ;)
How do you decorate? Do you use lots of things specific to Christmas or do you try to make things work through winter?
This year I think we are going to do a tree in each of the kids rooms. Since I’m a total weirdo and have to photograph everything for the blog I always decorate the tree. We used to have two trees… one I decorated for the blog… and one we did as a family. However, this house doesn’t really have a place for two trees, thus we’re going to start a new tradition. I’m getting each of the kids a little tree for their rooms and we’ll all go around and decorate the trees together. That way everyone gets their own little bit of Christmas for their rooms! The kids are pretty excited about it too!!
My oldest wants the giant Plaid Pillow and my daughter wants the Fur Pillow for their bedroom Christmas decor. I’m willing to fight them for it though because I’m kind of attached to them sitting right here on my bench looking all cozy like!
Tell me in the comments, when do you start decorating? What are your go to places for shopping?

Love your entryway, so inviting, and the door mat is just echos the theme The decor in the foyer could be up all winter as it is not over-the-top Christmas. Looking forward to seeing more. Like the idea of trees in the kid’s rooms, I did this with mine when they were little and they loved to do their own decorating.
Did you get the mirror at Kirkland’s? Especially love your flooring, is is laminate or vinyl plank? (what brand?).
I’d also like to know what the flooring is as well, the blanket & wicker trunk by the sofa! Thanks so much – Beautiful ????????
Love this space. Where did you purchase the bench?
Maybe it wasn’t a corpse, but something like a body?
