My good friend Janette wrote a post about her son and I was inspired to do the same : )
So this is for my boy, Aubrey.
Aubrey,
I love you more than words can say. You drive me crazy! You never listen, and you scream all the time! But I love you as much as I possibly can (+1). You have the most beautiful blue eyes and I love looking at them in the morning when you wake up to come snuggle me in bed (seriously one of my favorite parts of the day). You wrap your arms around me like you are a “big man” (because this is how you refer to yourself”. You are almost 4 and I STILL have to remind you to use the potty because let’s face it.. you have more important things to do! You cannot sit still when you are at the table because you are trying to help me with your sister…so sweet! I think if I let you, you would play Wii all.day.long! You do NOT understand that when you or anyone else looses on Wii that it does not mean they are in fact dead… only that they lost. You are obsessed with “bad guys” and killing them (not really sure where all this guns/death/army stuff comes from) but you did tell me that you would protect me if I was scared so I have nothing to fear right? You don’t nap nor is it possible to wear you out. You stopped napping LITERALLY the day I brought your sister home (not cool).
When I ask you what you want to eat you repeat back to me what you want twice and then at the end ALWAYS say “and that’s what I want” …OCD maybe?? Although this is the ONLY thing you appear to be OCD about because you have and will sit in your room ALL day to avoid cleaning it. But if I come in there and watch you do it… your done in less than 10 minutes.
You are EXTREMELY competitive.. not really sure where you get this from either (I guess it could be me) hehe : ) You say some of the sweetest/funniest things and I regret that I don’t write them all down! I wish I videoed you more too! I’m already forgetting all the cute things you did, but I will NEVER forget how hard it was to bring you into this world… all 9lbs 12oz, and how loud you were when you were a newborn. That noise is one thing I will never forget!
If you knew all you had to do was look at me with your big blue eyes and put your hand on my face… I would give you ANYTHING you wanted (I won’t let you know this for a long long long time)
You are so loud, but I am only to blame for that! My mom always said I had a built in microphone. Plus I always know where you are… even in Walmart across the store!
You have a very fun.indpendent.I can do it myself personality and I hope you don’t stop needing me too soon!
You want to watch Psych with your daddy and I (at least it’s not Spiderman). You truly believe you are a superhero and you boss your cousin around telling him which superhero he can and cannot be… which is not nice and he doesn’t like it!
I could talk about you and your stories all day long! I promise to try harder every day to be a better mommy to you because you deserve it! You make me smile and laugh.
I LOVE YOU
Love always,
Mommy

You are making me cry!!!! Not fair :) I love that little man too!
this is so sweet. lucky boy to have such a great mama!
This was a very sweet letter!! Okay, next week, lets do one for the girls! Ryan refuses to admit he has to go potty.. and that's funny about him telling you what he wants to eat- Ryan will tell me 6 times, I want peaches and I give him peaches.. then he says– NOOOOOOOOOOO I said I wanted PEARS!!!!!!! WHAT!? omigosh.
They do the darndest things!! But gotta love him and those beautiful blue eyes!! Wish Ryan would snuggle with me.
What a sweet post!!

That was so sweet! My youngest will be 4 in December and even though he's been fully potty trained for almost a year, he still waits until the very last second before RUNNING to the bathroom.
Okay I am so behind, I am finally getting to this now. Love this! I wish one of my kids had blue eyes- they all turned brown.
My daughter is almost five and I sometimes have to remind her to use the potty.
Thanks so much for linking up.
