Disclosure: Michael’s provided me with a gift card to purchase some of the supplies for the ornaments used in this series.
It’s Day 2 of the 12 Day of Christmas Series I’m participating in. Two ornaments down! I’m on my way to having a Christmas tree full of handmade ornaments this year. These Rattan Ornaments are actually from last year. Is that cheating? I sure hope not. I changed them up a little ; ). I painted them. White of course! Is there really any other color?
These are so easy to make. It’s literally a couple snips with some scissors and a few drops of hot glue, and you are done! To see how they are made you can get the tutorial here.
Once you have your ornaments made, all you need is a paintbrush and some white paint. I would go with an actual paintbrush over a foam one to avoid snagging on the ornament. I just brushed it on very lightly so i could catch the edges and make it look as though it had been snowed on.
Painted Rattan Ornaments
So far these are still my favorite ornaments I’ve made to date, but we will see… 10 more to go. Confession, I’ve only got like 3 more planned. While I’m thinking up some more ornament ideas, be sure to check out the other 11 bloggers that are embarking on this crazy journey with me!

Thanks Dusty! I’m having so much fun with Christmas Decor this year!
Cute and rustic. Would have been a great addition to my last year’s Nature inspired tree.
