So, a few months back I went to the dentist and needed a filling. Not too bad right? Well after it was done my tooth was really sensitive and I went back… he adjust the feeling. Still…no big deal. Still bothered me, but through the Christmas holidays I just couldn’t find time to go… plus who LIKES going to the dentist?? Well…it hurts so bad when I drink anything cold I finally went today. After all kinds of x rays and examinations and measurements and everything else the dentist had no clue (he found this kinda fun…he’s the kinda doctor who LOVES challenges, super great dentist)
Soo… after looking online he seems to think it is a realllllllllly tiny fracture that doesn’t show up on x rays. So he prescribes penicillin as it is safe for me to take while breastfeeding. Until I told him that I had never taken it because both my parents are allergic to it. Well after researching all this medicine he comes to the conclusion that penicillin is the only thing I can take to help me…and since I have never taken it to know for sure if I’m allergic, he wants to find out! Which is fine with me cause I hate explaining all the time.. “well I don’t know if I’m allergic I’ve just never taken it.” So I was game. I know the side effects I read the label. But there was one that stuck out to me. Soo… if I’m not on the blog world I am either at the emergency room getting an epi shot OR …brace yourself and scroll down…
my tongue could look like this……………………………………………………………
Black Hairy Tongue is an allergic reaction to penicillin. I think i would rather get rushed to the ER and get the epi shot.
So I will be praying this does not happen!

Okay, so what happened? Are you allergic? Did your tongue grow fur? I'm dyin' to know!
So.. I am not allergic (yay!!) and I did NOT get black hairy tongue!! I cannot express how overwhelmed with excitement I was that I did not have a fuzzy tongue! : )
Nice post! I'm really happy I come across this blog of yours.
I just came across your blog and yes this is a very scary side effect of the drug Penicillin. However, it's not an allergic reaction. Since it is an antibiotic (anti- bacteria) it kills the bad and some good bacteria necessary for your body. This alteration can lead to Black Hairy Tongue. Bismuth containing products like Pepto-Bismol also have this potential side effect.
The dentist is not a wide degree but a limited edition and only few medical students do complete this degree. I always recommend medical students to choose this degree and help people.
I always take appointment from my Dentists regarding any problem I have about teeth.
Most of the people did not understand it’s really meaning. And I hope this guide will help others.

Penicillin has many bad effects on the body such as a heavy dose of penicillin cause to loos your memory a little amount. Some anti b bacteria are important for the body.

There is no alternate to the health and fitness, we have to eat healthy food timely, do physical exercises daily, think positive and have patience and commitment towards good lifestyle. Being involved in physical activities on daily basis does something great to our body and mind. It makes us feel good, helps us to complete tough tasks, makes us pleasant all around and keeps us happy all time because our body releases a chemical called endorphins while we involved in the physical activities.right leg pain icd 10
Your story about how you were cured of your fear of dentists by using penicillin really touched my heart and I appreciate that you shared that with me. I think it’s important to share our stories with others, especially when they are going through similar things. dental implants chatswood
I love your blog post about Penicillin and the Dentist. I’m interested in the solutions you found to the problem. I’ve always struggled to find the motivation to write and I had a hard time coming up with ideas for blog posts. I used to try and write blog posts but then I would get so frustrated with them and never publish them. It sounds like you found a winning system that helped you to stay on track. boutique home builders melbourne
I loved reading your blog post about how you were worried to take your kids to the dentist because your children had a history of allergies to penicillin. It was such a personal story and showed that you went to great lengths to find the best care for your children. I also like that you mentioned how you were a stay at home mom to three beautiful children. I think that is so important for moms to be able to share themselves with their blog. Taking all four kids out by myself has become easier and easier, and last week proved that. I took Holden and Beau to the dentist with our twins in tow and it couldn’t have gone smoother. I think the fact that Holden and Beau are becoming more independent is making a huge difference. dentist near me
Dental professionals use penicillin and hemp oil products to treat and prevent gum disease, cavities, and other oral health problems. Penicillin is an antibiotic that can help treat infections and other oral conditions, while hemp oil has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that can help reduce inflammation and fight bacteria. Both are effective in improving oral health when combined with regular brushing and flossing. Penicillin is especially useful in treating periodontal disease, while hemp oil can help reduce inflammation in the gums and even fight off cavities. Additionally, hemp oil has high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which boost overall oral health by improving the health of the gums, teeth, and jawbone. Ultimately, the combination of penicillin and hemp oil products can help improve the oral health of both adults and children alike.
There are two types of penicillin allergy tests: skin tests and oral challenges. Skin tests are the most common type of test. A small amount of penicillin is injected into the skin. If you have an allergic reaction, you will develop a red, itchy bump at the injection site. Oral challenges are less common than skin tests. You will be given a small amount of penicillin to swallow. If you have an allergic reaction, you may experience symptoms such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.canadianinsulin.com
