Snow has officially fallen here in Wisconsin so I don’t feel to weird about already decorating my Christmas Mantel. To be honest, this year is pretty similar to last year’s mantel, but I made few adjustments :). This year is definitely more cozy and I went with a Woodland Christmas Mantel theme.
I am so excited to be sharing this mantel as part of the Christmas Mantel Tour hosted by At Home with the Barkers and Daisy Mae Belle. At the end of the post you can hop around to some of the other bloggers mantels for even more Christmas inspiration!
My Christmas Mantel this year was totally inspired by this sign. I was sitting around the house one day and this idea just popped into my head and I knew I had to do it! I love having something big up on top of the piano because it’s a pretty large wall space, and it just needs something big up there. This sign is one of my favorite Christmas projects to date! I wanted to warm up decor this year with some beautiful wood tones. I was so close to painting this sign white and distressing it. If you are familiar with my style.. you know I love white and tend to paint everything with it! My husband said if I painted this sign he was hiding all my paint, so I left it… and I’m so glad I did! Who would’ve known my husband would be right, hehe!
This little reindeer from Hobby Lobby is just too cute for words! I saw him sitting there on the shelf and he just screamed out at me “take me home”! He looked a little cold though, so I gave him a scarf! :) He’s a total cutie!
This beautiful garland I cannot take credit for though, it is from Michael’s and isn’t it just stunning? I love how it looks like it was drug through the snow to ultimately end up on my piano, hehe.
I originally didn’t plan on the red berries, but as I was repeatedly walking past my piano (like I always do when I decorate it) it was missing something… it was just too… brown. It needed some color, and what better color than red for Christmas? I also added the little berries to the mini Christmas trees and the stockings.
This mantel was so much fun to put together. Be sure and stay tuned for lots more Christmas Decor!

Sorry to comment again, but did you use nails to hang your stockings?

So beautiful! I love that you created a mantle that is non-traditional in that it’s not over a fireplace. So many of us have no fireplaces and this gives a great option! Love it :)
