This has to be one of my most favorite things in a while! I just love the baker’s twine!! It makes me giddy every time I look at it! Do you feel the same way about it? Maybe I’m just weird…: )
My original plan was to do a whole Spring/Easter Mantel, BUT in case you missed my big news yesterday, I’m moving to Wisconsin, so my goal is to pack everything, not pull even more things out! Definitely the worst part about moving! But This little wreath will probably be the last thing I pack, just so I can keep looking at it!
My husband is actually the one who wrapped the wreath form with the baker’s twine. Ok, so I might say baker’s twine like a million times in this post, but I just LOVE it! I got it for FREE (maybe that’s why I like it so much) from Pick Your Plum!
This whole wreath is completely interchangeable… another thing I love about it! I want to do a pink lemonade party for my daughter’s second birthday and I plan on using the baker’s twine wrapped wreath for that party so I didn’t want to permanently attach anything to it.
{Here’s what I did}
After the wonderful hubby wrapped the.. yes.. baker’s twine around for me I just tied the twine around and pinned it with thumbtacks where I wanted the banner to go. Then cut out little triangles and folded them over the twine and glued them on (the only thing I glued)
I used a straight pin to attach my little birdie to the wreath, I just poked it through the back layer of fabric and into the wreath. {Here is the tutorial on how to make the birdie}
I cut out all the little flowers with scrap fabric and used thumbtacks for the center of the flower : )
See… super easy right?
I think this is the cutest spring wreath I have seen yet! Love the baker's twine :)
