I think if there were an award out there for how many times people who aren’t in the military move, we would win. We might even winn within the military category, lol. Basically what I’m saying here is… we move, ALOT! When we first came to Utah about 7 months ago we were staying in my inlaw’s basement apartment. Which is where you’ve seen all my pictures from recently. But we finally decided on an area we wanted to be in and we just so happened to find a house here! I am beyond excited to take you on the decorating journey of our new home. I’ve already started a little bit, but it’s been a crazy few weeks! Since we are in a new place, I thought it would be fun to document how it looked right before we brought all our stuff in here and destroyed it moved in; ) Please excuse the iphone pictures… my camera was packed!

The exciting thing about this house is everything is in good condition, and after our Wisconsin house it will be refreshing to just enjoy this one. There is still a long list of things I want to do to make it more “ours” but none of it is necessary in order to live here!
But let’s take a look at my FAVORITE feature, one of the main reasons we bought this house!
THE GARAGE
It’s a 3 car garage, but the 3rd stall is 35 ft deep *insert happy dance*. Obviously this is my new workshop.
I forgot to snap pictures before we unloaded everything so this is only part I have pictures of. The rest is covered in boxes and random stuff we haven’t gone through to organize yet. But just a little back story… the family that lived here before actually used to run a custom furniture store. They closed it down and he brought his workshop here. I wish you could have seen it before they moved out. He had a dust collections system that took my breath away. I wanted it all… but he took it :(
I can’t wait to build shelves in here and get everything all organized, but I had to jump straight back in to work so this is my set up for now and I couldn’t be happier!! I kinda like to think of this house as a business expense since I work all the time ; )
Well that’s it… that’s our new house! I can’t wait to take you on the journey of turning this house into our home and adding our personal touches. Our basement is completely unfinished so we will also be doing a lot of work down there!
If you need me I’ll be chugging coffee trying to get this place unpacked and ready for the holidays!
So happy for you Ashley! It us a lovely home and can’t wait to see your own DIYs you’ll add!
Thanks so much Kendra! I can’t wait either ; )
I love it and can’t wait to see what you do with it! And that garage is a total dream!
Thanks Sarah! I can’t even wait to get started in the garage!! : ) My total happy place!
It’s all very tasteful, no weird color walls or anything. You’ll have your mark on it in no time as your home sweet home.
I know!! The lady here before us had similar taste as me, but I’m pretty excited that I don’t have to jump right in to painting walls!
It’s SO pretty!!! I can’t wait to see how you transform it, I’m sure it will be right out of a magazine when you’re finished. :)

Yaaaay! I’m so excited to see what you do with this place, Ashley! Happy for you girl!
Thanks Lauren! I am super excited to get started!
SCORE! You’ve made a touch-down, home-run and three-pointer all in one. Congrats to you and yours. Lord knows you will enjoy this after moving out from the in-laws apartment. Nothing like an early Christmas present.
Thanks so much!! : )
Welcome to the neighborhood. I live a few houses down from you. Can’t wait to see what you do with your new house!
Love it! Need some WI visitors to help fill it up for a weekend? :)
This is great! Choosing a contractor for the move is a very important issue. After all, everyone wants things to remain intact and safe. In order not to make a mistake, always read reviews about companies. By the way Pissed Consumer helps a lot with this
