You all know I have been talking about this awesome campaign UPS is running this season where for every wish that is submitted through twitter or instagram using the hashtag #WishesDelivered (or you can visit the #WishesDelivered site) UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, or Toys for Tots) up to $100k.
Today I want to show you what it looked like when UPS delivered one wish…. all because one person had a beautiful wish to help get thousands of books to the children of Malawi. This video left me in tears for those children!
We as a nation shred and dispose of so many books. One person had a wish to see these books delievered to those absolutely beautiful children. To see their faces light up at something we often forget we are privileged to have, it just took my breath away! It really makes me stop and think how privileged we are, no matter what difficulties we might be facing. I am so thankful that my children have books to read whenever they want, and I am so thankful there are people like Mary out there who fight to get those less fortunate something that can bring brightness to their day!
Share your wish with UPS on Twitter or Instagram using the Hashtag #WishesDelivered!
An unselfish wish…wouldn’t it be great to feel the giving spirit every day of the year…
Thanks for sharing, I made my wish, too.
I think my dream is to work in IT, but I don’t feel like I have any options because I’m terrible at math. There is a feeling that the exact sciences are of great importance in IT. When I was in school, mathematics was the most difficult subject solely because of the teachers. If I were a parent now and I needed math help for kids, I would definitely go to some online platform, say Brighterly. It seems to me that this is a great solution for a child to learn mathematics in an interesting and exciting way, while receiving a high-quality learning outcome.
