I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far! I have been super occupied getting my blog together. Doing the design myself has been super time consuming. I don’t know how these women do it for multiple blogs!
I took a little break from Addison’s party planning (even though I am so behind now) to work on my son’s room! I started these letters oh… like a year ago. Aubrey and I finally finished them!

These letters were seriously the hardest thing EVER to photograph. It’s rainy today and Aubrey’s room doesn’t exactly get a lot of natural light so it just wasn’t pretty when I photographed them in there. It just wasn’t working for me. But the letters turned out so fun! Aubrey LOVES them!
Earlier I took them off the wall to take them outside to photograph.. he was so concerned about his name. So cute!

Modge Podge Superhero Letters

These are so easy to make, and great if you want to get your little on involved!

{Here’s what I did}

-Bought the letters from Hobby Lobby
-Got some old superhero comic books together and cut them up
-Used Modge Podge to apply the comic books papers to the letters

Then I hung the letters using the command Velcro strips

I only used one on each letter since they are so light and it has worked for me : )

Aubrey had so much fun making these and playing in the modge podge. I’m not sure if he had more fun painting it on, or peeling it off his hands when we were done! : )

Next thing I have planned for his room is a superhero quilt. Hoping to have that done by the end of summer! Don’t hold me to it though : )

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! I am still busy making the switch to wordpress! It is so exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time!

In the meantime I have a guest post for you by Karen @

The Given Thought

—————————————————————

Hi, my name is Karen Bayer, I’m a wife, mother, designer, a dreamer,
and I write “The Given Thought”, a blog dedicated to unique gift
ideas. I started writing my blog a little over a year ago, I wanted to
share with my readers the secrets to finding the perfect gift.  The
given thought is a gift designing journal that follows creative gift
ideas and inspirations. As a creative, sensitive, passionate person
and a dedicated friend, I tend to take the task of giving seriously.
My mission is to  find, design, create (and sometimes receive)
beautiful and thoughtful gifts. My blog was born to encourage you to
give from the heart, with love, while using your imagination.
Hope you heart my blog,
Karen

I’ve been often told that I’m great with crafts and I always like to come up with nice idea’s for simple DIY. I like to think that you can upgrade almost anything if you put some thought into it. This project is a great example for taking something quite plain and giving it a smashing makeover. Let me encourage you before you think…. “Oh, I can’t do this project because I can’t sew”. Relax… All you need to know is the basic hand stitch. If you take a minute to look at the pictures of the steps, you will realize how easy this project really is.

1. Cut a felt circle. I used a pot and a sharpie to draw directly on the fabric, it was easy to cut it along the trace with fabric scissors.

2. Cut a smaller circle in a different color, place it on the first circle and sew it along the edge using a basic stitch.

3. Sew round buttons for eyes and a heart shaped button for the nose. Draw with a light sharpie the mouth and sew along the trace with the basic stitch.

4. Cut two small circles, of each color, one slightly smaller than the other. Then cut each circle in half and sew the smaller piece to the larger piece to create the bears ears.

5. Pin the head and ears to the bottom part of the baby leggings and sew them onto it. First sew the ears and then the face on top of the ears.

This is pretty much it… What do you think? Looks rather easy when you break it up to steps, right?

Baby bottoms are seriously just about the cutest things EVER! Make sure and stop by

Have you seen the picture me domestic contest going on? It is a pretty fun idea! You can check out all the details here, but the main idea is to take pictures of yourself in your “domestic” setting…. what do you do at home? The trick though is that you have to take the pictures of yourself….no help, so

here is a little bit of me domesticating it up!
(sorry for the terrible pictures… I used my phone)

First I make coffee because well… it’s scary otherwise! See that smile, I already had a cup : )

Then I avoid folding the laundry that sits on my bed. How else would I be typing this post? : )
Fold Laundry

Every so often I bake something… today I did, it was a fail though so back to normal….
(not sure what’s going on with the hair…scary though)
Make some pie crust

Here is what I do most of the time… pick little things up off the floor…. I think about this a lot before I actually do it!
