I shared this yummy recipe for banana bread over at Ucreate and thought I’d share it here in case you missed it!
Little secret, my lovely sister at Once a Mom Always a Cook told me how to make it, isn’t she wonderful?!
It’s inspired from her Pumpkin Bread Recipe! Thanks Audra! Love you!!
Banana Bread Recipe
Today I’m going to share with you a super yummy recipe for Banana Bread.
If you ask my husband this is the gift he wants all year round ; )
You’re going to love it! Let’s get started!
I started off with my sister’s recipe for Pumpkin Bread (quite delicious as well!)
and made a few changes
Ingredients:
makes 1 loaf
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup mashed bananas (the more ripe the better)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup non fat plain Greek yogurt
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream butter and sugar, then add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake for 1 hour or until a tester comes out clean.
Optional: Feel free to add your favorite nuts to this recipe. I have a weird thing with nuts in my food so I left them out. ; )
Once you follow the recipe and make those changes and you will have one super delicious loaf of banana bread!
Once it was done and cooled I wrapped it up to get ready to give it away.
First I took a paper bag (free, YES!) and cut it with scissors to make the edges look torn, tied some baker’s twine around it and stuck in a cute little tag from my PSA Essential Custom stamp. Their stamps are so fun and versatile, check out their blog for other great ideas!
Now it’s ready to giveaway! yippeeeee!
Let’s be honest though… this exact loaf didn’t get gifted, I mead I had to photograph it right? So we kinda ate it…. all of it.
Looks like I’ll be making some more of these!

It looks so yummy! I know there was happy tummies when this came out of the oven! How many loaves did you have to make before you could photograph one?!

Your banana bread recipe is in the oven and is smelling great. I found and made your oatmeal blueberry bread multiple times now. Which is wonderful by the way and knew I had to check if you had a recipe for banana bread. I have a feeling it will be another favorite of ours.
