Hi! It’s Ginger from Ginger Snap Crafts.
I am thrilled to be over here visiting Cherished Bliss.
Ashley was one of the first bloggers I met when I started my blog, & I LOVE her!
Isn’t she awesome?? I guess you already knew that since you’re over here! ;)
I was so excited when Ashley asked my to participate in her Christmas in July series.
Her assignment…make a handmade gift for the kiddos! So fun!
Well, here is what I came up with DIY {cute & easy} blocks.
These were so easy & CHEAP!! Yay!
My kiddos have already tested them out, & they LOVE them!
Before I forget I found some cute wooden cars at Walmart for $1.00 this week.
I couldn’t pass that up! They went perfectly with our blocks, too. Sweet!
They were in the craft section with all the unfinished wood.
For my blocks I just got my hubby to cut some 2×4’s into squares, triangles & rectangles.
I also bought I couple of long 7/8 inch dowels at Walmart, too.
My hubby cut them into smaller pieces for me. Isn’t he awesome? ;)
After my hubby cut the wood I sanded all the blocks really well.
Then I cut some super cute vinyl in bright fun colors with my Silhouette.
(All these images can be found in the Silhouette online store.)
Then I applied the vinyl. That’s it!
I really think they turned out cute…love the little dog.
Best of all my kiddos loved them. :)
They couldn’t wait until Christmas…so they have been playing with these all week long.
Check out what they made?? Pretty cool! :)
I’d love for you to drop by Ginger Snap Crafts sometime.
I have tons of cute & easy tutorials like these:

I LOVE these! I am definitely going to have to do this. I actually know my way around our saw, though I wish we had an electric one. Still, I could use some wood scraps we have and make these in no time. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
