When I was kid pictures were something you took during the moment or at an Olan Mills (am I the only one who remembers that?). In today’s time we are staging gorgeous photos of our kids with beautiful backgrounds all natural like and whimsical. And the photo props! Oh how the photo props have progressed over time. As a little girl I could choose between a pillar and a lace umbrella! Hey… it’s just the facts people ; ). Well today I’m going to give you the free plans to make this adorable DIY Wooden Bow Tie Tutorial. While this is absolutely adorable, please understand that it IS a photo prop and not meant for your kids to wear all day long, it is after all a piece of wood strapped to their neck ; )!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ryobi Nation. All opinions are my own!
Can we just pause and talk about how cute my little man is?? Out of 3 kids he’s the ONLY one who loves being in front of the camera. At least he admits to loving it. My daughter does too! She just pretends to be shy about it (stinker!). Do you see how long his hair is? He’s totally got the hair flip going too! On a 3 year old that’s pretty much death by cuteness! Sometimes I just can’t handle it… then I added this DIY Wooden Bow Tie to his cute little face!
Me: “Make a Cute Face!”
Him:
Enough said!
Are you ready to make your own DIY Wooden Bow Tie??

How to Make a DIY Wooden Bow Tie
This is super easy to make, I promise… and it will even introduce you to the scroll saw, which is a fun one to know how to use! You can do some pretty amazing things. If you are new to using one, test this out on a few scraps of cheap wood! It does take a little practice!

What a great wooden bow tie tutorial!! May I know type of material you recommend?
The photo of the butterfly is beautifully done, the bright colors highlight the beauty and sophistication of this photo. Who could teach me how to take photographs?) Friends recommended that I read a useful article that talks about using the power of light to create bright photographs. I don’t know if it’s worth reading, or if it won’t give me anything, I’ll just waste my time.
