Create this stunning layered DIY Spring Hoop Wreath with this easy to follow tutorial and give your front door a fresh update for the season!
I was so excited to feel warmer temperatures start to creep into Wisconsin, but as I was photographing this new Easy DIY Spring Hoop Wreath it was snowing. So there’s that, however I’m looking on the bright side and remembering that by going through winter it makes me so much more grateful for the summer months!
I always find making wreaths kind of fun, and I typically lean towards things that can easily be added to or changed for the seasons like I did with my Fall and Winter Wreaths. I’m sure I’ll add a little something extra to this one for the summer. It’s very easy to make and if you want to pop over to my IG stories you can kind of see how I put it together if pictures aren’t your thing! But let’s get started making this!
Supplies:
- Metal Rings in approx. 19″, 16″, 10″ (or just varying sizes)
- Floral Tape
- 28 Gauge Metal Wire
- Floral Stems
How to Make a Spring Hoop Wreath
Begin with 3 different sizes of metal rings, which are available at most craft stores.
Next I layered the rings and attached where they cross each other with the 28 gauge wire. You could also add a little hot glue for reinforcement, but it’s not necessary.
Finally, using floral tape I attached some deconstructed floral stems and bunches to the largest metal ring.
When attaching the floral stems I layered them going in both directions and then used some to hide the floral tape and ultimately covered it with the white tulips. Anywhere I needed to make something hug the ring at a specific part I used the thing gauge wire to attach it to the ring.

I love this wreath idea! I tried making it but cannot get the metal rings to hold together even with my husband tightening the wire with pliers. They either slide down or turn outwards when placed on the door. Any advice?
Mine ended up doing that too as we used the door, I ended up changing to a command hook on the window and hooked two of the rings on it and it kept the shape much better. They do move around a little, that’s normal. You could always add a little glue where the rings meet as well.
Dumb question… What do you use to actually hang it on the door? Fishing line? I love this!
