Usher in the sunshine and warm weather with this Minimalist Spring Mantel Decor featuring a large accent mirror and greenery with a Modern Rustic Vibe!
We got our first little taste of Spring this past weekend and took the opportunity to do some deep cleaning and get our garage ready for all the bikes and scooters! We started the deep clean in our living/formal dining area because while we were working on the entryway quite a few tools and pieces of trim got left in here. (Since it’s freezing outside and nobody wants to open the door, haha). And since we got that space all cleaned I decided it made since to go ahead and decorate for Spring, so today I’ve got our Minimalist Spring Mantel Decor for you and then next week I’ll share our full Spring Home Tour!
Using Greenery in Mantel Decor
Whenever it’s time to decorate for Spring I always find myself craving plants. While most of the plants in my house are fake, one day when my life isn’t so crazy, I will have real ones. I’m not exactly known for my green thumb, but one day I really hope to change that! ;) There’s even some greenery on this year’s Spring Wreath.
If you can’t commit to living plants, faux greenery is definitely a way to bring a little life into your decor.
Large Mirror on Mantel
I’ve had a lot of fun with this fireplace since we did a complete makeover. The large basket I used in the Fall and at Christmas came down and I replaced it with this mirror.
For this season I just really wanted something simple that could potentially get me through Spring and Summer. I’m sure I’ll change it up a little bit before Fall hits, but if not, this will work!
Built ins Next to Fireplace
I definitely keep the mantel itself pretty simple considering I have the built in’s right next to it. I just feel like if I have a bunch of stuff on the mantel and those shelves it would be too much.
Spring Shelf Styling
Speaking of these shelves, this is the first time I’ve actually been happy with out they turned out. Shelf styling has never really been my strong suit. To be honest I’ve never really had much practice because this is my first time with a built in. I’m no professional and I can’t always explain why I do things, but I can usually tell when something is “off”. Well I was pretty intentional with these shelves and really tried to ask myself why I was doing something specific and why I was looking for something that had this specific color. So I think I’ve kinda figured out my process (even though I didn’t know I had one) and it helped me when styling these shelves. I’m thinking I’ll do a post about it soon, what do you think?
Minimalist Spring Mantel Decor on a Concrete Fireplace
I know I’ve been saying for a while that I’ll write up a tutorial post for our fireplace! Well you’ll be glad to know I’m actually writing it and editing photos so it’s coming soon, promise!

I really like your simple spring mantle and the big mirror will bring in so much light to the space and is a perfect focal point. Your shelves look great and I think you have styled them very professionally. I also like to have a base design that can be changed up each season. Makes life so much easier Happy spring.
