When eShakti contacted us to do a dress review we were more than excited! I automatically shared the good news with my daughter, Christian. If you haven’t already noticed, she is the fashionista of the family, so I knew she would be delighted to choose a dress. As you can see from the pictures below we were absolutely happy with this dress and website, so let’s hear what Christian has to say about the adorable and festive dress she chose for her summer wardrobe. And eShakti has graciously offered a coupon code specially for Cherished Bliss readers. Just use the code ‘blisses‘ to get 10% OFF when you shop at eShakti.com, valid until 06/20/2014.
Christian says- “If I had to pick one article of clothing to wear for the rest of my life, it would be a dress. Dresses make me feel so feminine and girly, and I loved that eShakti had a variety of darling dresses just waiting to be purchased. I love that eShakti realizes that woman come in all different shapes and sizes, which is why they have included plus sizes. eShakti even took sizing a step further and included a convenient custom styling option where buyers can place their personal measurements to ensure they glow in their clothing choice.”
“The dress I chose is called Seersucker Check Notch Neck Dress, and it is a cotton fit and flare dress. It features a princess bodice with a notched scoop neckline that gives the dress a timeless and classy feel. Another cherishing characteristic is the ruched pleated skirt that hits below the knee, which gives the dress a modest touch. Personally, my favorite characteristic of the dress is the pockets, because dresses with pockets are perfection in my book.”
“The real reason I chose my dress is because I thought it would be a perfect fit for summer events, especially for Fourth of July. The dress carries the patriotic colors red, white, and blue, and includes a few other colors such as sky blue and yellow. To complete the look, I wore these light brown vintage heels I bought from Payless in their American Eagle line.”
“Next I accessorized my dress with these blue anchor earrings I purchased from Forever 21. Lastly, I created a vintage makeup look to bring out the colors in the dress. For my eyes I used a sparkly gold eye shadow on the lids, a light brown for the crease, and a white on the brow bone. To give my make up an extra vintage flare, I created a cat eye look with black eye liner and then lined my lower lash line with a white eyeliner to make my eyes look brighter and wider. To finish off my vintage makeup look, I channeled my inner Taylor Swift, and applied a bright red lipstick.”
