I’m thrilled to be guest posting with one of my favorite bloggers while she gears up for a move to hopefully newer and better things! So this is me and my family.. our latest picture taken from our newborn session with our newest member Rayne.
As I was thinking of what I could possibly write about to entertain you all, I was stumped due to lack of sleep and feeling like my brain hasn’t fully recuperated from giving birth. I have been up during all hours of the night with one eye open using the TV as my sole source for light so that I don’t fully wake up and of course so that Rayne doesn’t completely wake up too. I see all sorts of things on the TV at night that make me wonder. They often rerun the news from earlier in the night and I always like to catch up on what the weather will be… but have you ever wondered.. .while watching the news…

The newscasters are clearly reading from the prompters, right? Why do they have a stack of paper in front of them and a pen in their hands? I never see them actually lift up the paper and read from it or look down and act like they are reading from it… but every now and then, you see them draw something and take the top sheet off and place it on the bottom of the stack as if they completed that one…
I know on some news shows, they use cards to read questions from or read off information during interviews or something—but we’re talkin’ about desk news anchors. One of the news stations I watch here in Dallas, the one girl always takes her papers and folds them in half long ways and never looks at them. Not sure what she’s doing.
So, I came up with a few ideas of what I think they are doing with that paper.
First, I believe they are writing notes back and forth to each other. This was my attempt to make a hand written note using picnik, so bare with me.
Secondly I believe they are likely doodling pictures of random things including animals and faces, and mostly scribbles.

My third conclusion to what else could possibly be happening on that paper is a shopping list for the grocery store. Seems logical to me! I think I would be making my to-do list or something like this too!
What do you think the paper is for? I’m sure the logical answer is that its incase the teleprompters break down or something.. but its never happened as far as I know!

No you have me wondering … do my news people have paper?? Surely they do … they all do. But I can't remember! LOL.
You are way more observant than me! I love the idea of them writing notes back and forth. Maybe because that's what I would be doing LOL!
Lol! Oh now it is going to bug me as what they are doing. Very interesting. Great post!
