Every year I tell myself “I’m going to get my Christmas shopping done before December” and every year I’m frantically driving around on Christmas Eve trying to finish that very same Christmas Shopping. It’s inevitable that I turn into a last minute shopper no matter how hard I try! Can I be so bold as to say it’s nearly impossible to get EVERYTHING done early? Maybe not for everyone, but certainly for me! To celebrate my last minute-itis I am here to show you this simple Last Minute Christmas Gift Idea that anyone can pull together. No need to know any fancy tricks or crazy bow tying skills needed. Just the ability to shop and stack things!
This Last Minute Christmas Gift Basket is the perfect idea for anyone who loves home decor! I decided to focus in on a bathroom gift. Maybe because I’m in the middle of redoing my bathroom and it desperately needs some help! You can see the before here. But surely I’m not the only one who needs a little assistance in the bathroom! ; )
Let’s walk through how to put this basket together. Here is what you will need:
- Small Galvanized Bin
- Bathroom Accessories ( Things Jar, Soap Pump, Toothbrush Holder)
- Gray Towels
- White Towels
First I stuffed the bottom of the bin with plastic Walmart Bags in order to lift all the items up so you can see them displayed. Then I rolled up 3 regular sized towels and placed them in the back. Next I rolled up hand towels and placed it across the front, then stacked two wash cloths on top of that (under all the little bathroom accessories). After that drape one more wash cloth over the front of the bin. Lastly add your 3 bathroom accessories right on top of those towels and you are done!
Now you are all set with your Last Minute Christmas Gift idea! If you don’t want to go with the whole bathroom theme, you can easily transition this idea into any theme you’d like! Here are a few different ideas from some of my sweet friends and Eddie Ross from this year’s BHG Live Event.
I hope this his given you a few ideas on how you can pull together some simple and easy, yet thoughtful gift ideas for your friends and family! Have any other creative ideas? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below!!

And to help you get some shopping done, I am giving away a $100 Walmart Gift Card to one lucky reader!!

This is a great idea for someone who is redecorating – or even for someone who’d so appreciate a nice Gift Basket full of home goodies – the types of things one hates to buy for oneself! (like me! I hate spending so much on “trifles” like that on a tight budget! But little things can make a wondrous difference in a room.
A lovely pump bottle for soap? I love having shampoo and conditioner in a pump bottle – less trouble and time consuming in the shower = less water used, right? And who among us doesn’t like to have pretty things in the bathroom or on bedroom dresser?
Thank you for the opportunity…this blog brings ideas just popping into my head!
