This inspiring Modern Rustic Christmas Mantel is an effortless approach to holiday decor featuring simple decor and simple styling. This post is sponsored by Harp Design Co. All opinions are 100% my own.
I’m kicking off the official Christmas decor today! I’ve shared a Printable and a Wreath, but this is the first decor post of the year and it’s got me super excited. Every square inch of my house other than this little corner is a complete disaster and looks like my holiday decor exploded, but at least I got this done. Something I decided to do this year as I was decorating was go through everything I own and get rid of old stuff and things that I just don’t want stylistically anymore. It’s crazy now, but I’ll be much more organized as I put it all away! But let’s talk about this Modern Rustic Christmas Mantel for a minute!
I’m so excited to be teaming up with Harp Design Co again this month for our Christmas Mantel. Make sure if you see anything you want you get it soon, because they do tend to sell out pretty quickly on their popular seasonal items! And you can also get 15% off by using my code: CHERISHEDBLISS.
Early Modern Rustic Christmas Mantel
Eventually as we get closer to Christmas I will add some real garland to this whole scene, but I thought this was a pretty fun transition into the holidays. I certainly don’t mean to skip over Thanksgiving, because I do love that holiday. Maybe it’s because it gets so cold here, and so quickly, that I just crave the coziness of Christmas, even at Thanksgiving. Plus I feel like I will be able to take these stockings down and transition right into winter! Because Spring is a long ways away for me!
Wooden Nordic Christmas Trees
These Wooden Nordic Christmas Trees come in 3 different sizes. If you love these as much as I do, GRAB THEM NOW! I got mine in the Hickory Finish, but they are available in a Walnut as well.
I also love how it comes as two flat pieces that interlock to make the tree. This makes storing them SO much easier! And if you’re the artistic type, I could totally see painting something amazing on these!
Bottle Brush Christmas Trees
When I was planning out this mantel I kind of imagined a modern forest. So to soften the edges of the Wooden Nordic Trees, I added some bottle brush trees. The bigger ones I actually found here at a local shop, but the smaller ones are from Hobby Lobby. Aren’t they adorable? I love the soft muted tone!
Let’s just say you will see more of these in my Christmas Home Tour ;)
Cozy Christmas Tree
I honestly had a whole different plan for this tree but once I started decorating it, it just wasn’t fitting with the mantel. It was too… elegant looking. Sometimes things just don’t come across the way you envision them. So please don’t ever feel alone in that… I go through it ALL the time! I re-evaluated and threw this together and I love the cozy simplicity of it. We will put up a family tree later in the year, but there just needed to be at tree next to our mantel. You can get these adorable Black and White Bell Ornaments from Harp Design Co as well (available in two different sizes).
Christmas Tree in Front of Built-Ins
I knew I wanted a tree next to my fireplace, but to be honest I was hesitant at first because of our built-ins. I’ve seen people put a tree in front of bookshelves like a million times, but I was so afraid the sizing of everything was just a little off in our space, but it turned out great. If you ever doubt yourself, just give it a shot because seeing it in person is so much different than our imaginations. Unless you have an uncanny gift to see both things equally in which case, please teach me your ways!
So there you have it! Our Early Modern Rustic Christmas Mantel! Stay tuned for more holiday posts and a full home tour!
