If you have been reading my blog you know that my baby girl turned one last week (which I am still not excited about…happened way too fast). Needless to say I still wanted a perfect party for my little princess. So I kinda found some fabric and decorated around that. It started with her crown, which you can see here. Then I made a fabric banner, which you can see here : )
Then, I started these, well I haven’t really figured out what to call them. Fork/accessory holders? Either way… aren’t they adorable?!
They are super easy to make. So easy, I’m going to show you how!
This is what you need
-Can food goods
-Fabric of your choice
-Modge Podge
-Foam brush
-Scissors
1. You will need to empty out some can food goods (don’t lie… you know you have some year old expired stuff somwhere in your pantry!!) and you are going to clean it, wash it, and get the smell of whatever was in there OUT!
2. Next wrap some fabric around it and cut so that it fits nicely around, doesn’t have to be perfect, just make sure you get one straight edge for the bottom and leave a little overhang on the top to cover where the lid was cut
3. Once the fabric is cut out, take your foam brush and brush on some modge podge to your can, line up your fabric and smooth it out. Continue applying the glue and smooting out the fabric until you are done.
4. Then, brush a layer of glue over the top of the fabric, making sure to smooth out any bubbles, and glue the excess down to the inside and there you go. Some cute little decor accessories to spice up any party!!
(I had to put some styrofoam in the bottom of the can to keep the pinwheels up)
Check out my “Where I party” page to see where all I am linking this up!
and stay tuned for more birthday party pics : )
