So, one of my best bloggy friends is starting Tribute Tuesday where you post about someone you love/care about. Check her blog out for all the wonderful details.
So here’s to my momma!!
Almost exactly 24 years ago I was floating around in my momma’s tummy. I have a feeling I knew from the start she would be my best friend for life. We connected immediately : )…via umbelical cord…(haha). I have to say she worked pretty hard to bring me into this world, kids in my family just prefer to stay in the womb. She still works just as hard to make sure I’m just as safe as she did when I was a newborn. I have to say I am probably pretty spoiled. She served me breakfast in bed for roughly 9 years… I know I know that sounds terrible… it didn’t go to my head though ;) AND I just have to throw out there that this is NOT AT ALL my fault.. what little kid would say “No mom, I don’t want breakfast in bed.. that would be spoiling me” HA! I enjoyed eating my cereal while watching Gilligan’s Island…as sad as that sounds! See, we both have this little problem with waking up in the morning so I guess she knew how hard it was to unglue my eyelids to make it to school on time. I seem to remember riding in the car to middle school and she would drive with her face in the AC to stay awake! We were and still are night people.. always up past midnight…we just think and work better when its dark I guess : )
My mom has always been there for me. She always taught me that your family are your true best friends. I don’t think I could live without my mom and sister! Some of the best times we have ever had were having to pull over the car because we couldn’t stop laughing.. I have to say we have actually “pee’d our pants”. Honestly I don’t even know what we laugh about.. I don’t think anyone else does either. I can’t laugh with anyone the way I laugh at my mom…mainly because everyone else makes fun of me! The number of times we have ran across the house to make it to the toilet is just well.. probably an embarassing number! If laughter really adds years to life.. I guess we will be growing old together! There is this one specific intersection that I swear everytime we drive through it, it’s like the twilight zone and we laugh hysterically! Luckily we have never caused an accident!
My kids absolutely love my momma! They reach for her like they do for me! Probably because she spoils them like she does me! : ) I can’t even count the number of times she has came over to my house so I could take a peaceful shower… She truly is the best mother! She truley would cross fire for my sister and I!
Some of my best moments in life are laughing with her. I could never write enough to describe how much I love her!
I Love you Momma!!
Normally I would insert a picture or two… but we are both either the person behind the camera, or the one turning our heads to avoid the picture…and she would be so upset if I posted a picture of her : )
