I have a super easy tutorial for you today! Ever since I received my Epic 6 from
Lifestyle Crafts
I have been making everything out of paper! Addison’s Birthday party was practically made out of paper entirely (at least it seemed that way)! So today I am going to show you how I used one of the dies to decorate some desserts we had at the party!
For this I used the Scallop Doilies Die from the Bloom and Grow Line.
So let’s take a look at how to use die cuts if you are new to the epic 6.
(try and ignore the hideously ugly yellow table… it came with the rental and it’s big so it works for me making a huge mess with paper and sewing) : )
One.
Using your cutting platform place your die cut with the foam side (or the cutting side if there is no foam) UP.
Two.
Then Place your paper over the die cut.
Three.
Take your Cutting Mat and place it on top of the scrapbook paper, lining it up with your platform. (try and keep from sliding the die cut around, especially if you are making precise cuts)
Four.
Take all your layers (blog platform, die cut, scrapbook paper, cutting mat) and insert it into your Epic 6.
Five.
Using the handle roll it all through the machine.
Six.
Once you roll it all the way through take the cutting mat off and reveal your new pretty shapes! You might have to poke out some of the small pieces of paper, but they are already cut, you just have to poke a little ; )
{How I used my doilies}
I just threaded some baker’s twine through the one of the wholes, tied it around the neck of the jar and wrapped a spoon in there. Tie a bow and Ta-Da a super cute dessert!
Stay tuned for the recipe!
