Building furniture has become a problem solver for me. Need storage for your kids? Build a Kids Bookshelf. Ever since we’ve been in Utah my kids rooms have been a complete and utter disaster. Granted there are a few reasons for that. When we moved I got rid of a lot of their furniture because the plan was to build all new furniture for their rooms. Funny story: When you move across the country you don’t actually have tons of time to build furniture immediately. Lesson learned. I’ve managed to build a few things, but I’ve got a way to go. Are you ready to learn how to build this Industrial Style Kids Bookshelf?
If you’ve never built furniture before, this is a great project to get started with. I’ll be releasing an ebook soon that will walk you through the process of getting started in woodworking, so sign up here to be the first to know!

My wife and I are looking at maybe replacing our normal closet sliding doors with a barnd sliding style door, wuuld be great to see how you would take that on. I dont really experiment much, so I look to people like yourself where it comes natural to mimic =)
thanks!
Maybe a corner shelf? Nothing huge, but a smallish one. Your projects are great!
Great job!! I love the bookshelf. I would like to see an end table changed up to something else.
My husband and I are currently looking for ideas for a headboard, so I would love to see a DIY project like that!
I would love to see building plans for a hope chest. I’m looking into making a hope chest to put all of my winter quilts in.
I’m all on the hunt for a good design for a narrow pantry, I need more space!
This is such a wonderful DIY, I love these types of shelves.

Your bookcase looks great. I love how the bars give it the industrial look. I pinned it to my home DIY project board. I’m visiting from Waste Not Wednesday.
