This Living Room Design with Modsy is the perfect way for me to visualize the space without having to actually rearrange furniture, making it easier on me. This post is sponsored by Modsy. All opinions are 100% my ow!
We’ve officially started work here at The Cherished House, (I’ll be doing a full before tour soon) but first I wanted to pop in and share one of my new favorite design tools with you, Modsy. Modsy is a personalized home design solution that utilizes 3D visualization technology to let you try out furniture before you buy. If you are anything like me I’m constantly buying and returning things because I HAVE to see finalized ideas.
Through Modsy you are able to design and shop for your home, in one place, with products from hundreds of partners while truly taking the guesswork out of buying furniture. It’s amazing to see how everything is going to look before you start shopping. You know how sometimes that perfect piece of furniture doesn’t fit, yup, you don’t have to worry about that anymore!
And just so I don’t keep you waiting I have a coupon code for you to use:
But let’s take a little stroll through my new design plan!
We are starting with a blank slate because we just moved into this house and will be redoing pretty much every little corner of this house, but I’m most excited to get the living room functional while we work on the bedrooms upstairs.
As you can see from the pictures our living room is a very long room and somewhat narrow. I’m fairly certain that the space by the fireplace and bay window is meant to be a formal dining area, however we have a rather large breakfast room and I would prefer to have that space as a cozy sitting area, but perhaps with a small table. I was able to provide all this information to Modsy and they created some pretty amazing design plans for me!
Once you sign up with Modsy you can take a short design quiz and upload images of your space. Once this is complete a designer takes over and provides 2 different designs using furniture that fits within the parameters you set for them. You can even leave custom pieces in your images and they can work around that for you. That cabinet by the fireplace is a built in I intend to either move or paint. I have to say, after seeing the design I’m leaning towards keeping it (at least for now).
Let’s take a look at what Modsy worked up for me.
Living Room Design with Modsy #1
My favorite part of this service is probably getting to see the floor plan come to life. It really helps visualizing how everything is going to come together.
I will likely end up painting this room at some point, but I adore this main living space they’ve created.
Can you believe they even put that window unit in there?? We won’t actually leave that there and I forgot to mention it, but it shows their attention to detail for sure!
This is the space I am most excited to see. I love how there’s seating, but a small table that blends right in. This is exactly the type of design I had in my head, but seeing it all put together makes the process so much easier!
Now let’s look at the next design.
Living Room Design with Modsy #2
This design does provide a little bit more of a direct dining space. However, it’s still very casual and I feel like it could easily transition into more seating if I wanted it to. I think I’m leaning towards a combination of these two different designs!
The freshness of this design really speaks to me. I know I’ve mentioned living a more intentional life, and I feel like this design allows that shift to take place.
I’m really giddy about having bar stools as chairs around a small table. I think it opens up the space beautifully without sacrificing the seating area! That is something that was a must when I was providing all the details of this space. Modsy pulled it off beautifully!
Overall I had a fantastic experience using this design service and really feel like I walked away with an amazing Living Room Design with Modsy and actual products to purchase!
