This Neutral, Modern Cozy Christmas Tree is the perfect way to bring the holidays into your home. Find out how to get this simple look!
Hey hey!! If you’re here visiting from Taryn Whiteaker, WELCOME! I’m so happy to have stop by! Taryn always has the most beautiful Christmas trees doesn’t she? Don’t forget to stop by and tour all the other Christmas Trees in this week’s: My Home Style – Christmas Tree Edition hosted by my sweet friend Stephanie at Casa Watkins Living!
Our first Christmas Tree of the year is officially up! We always do at least two. Mainly because I like having a styled Christmas Tree for our living room (for my own selfish reasons :)). Then I always love picking out a fresh Christmas tree with our kids and decorating it with all our family and handmade ornaments while sipping hot cocoa. We usually do that one right after Thanksgiving though so it doesn’t completely dry out before Christmas gets here!
Modern Cozy Christmas Tree
This year I went with a Neutral Modern Cozy Christmas Tree. If I’m being totally honest this isn’t quite the direction I had planned in my head. I was going for a little bit more of an organic vibe, but once I got going this is just where the ornaments took me.
Stone Look Christmas Ornaments
I didn’t want to buy any new ornaments this year because it’s likely we will be moving soon and I already need to donate some of my Christmas Decor. The majority of the ornaments I used are some old ones that I DIYed to look like stone! I’ll share that tutorial with you in a few days.
I mixed my new stone ornaments with some basic Christmas ball ornaments. Some matte, some glitter, and some shiny for a little depth.
Christmas Tree Ribbon
For the ribbon this year I went with two different kinds. I started with a green velvet that I bought for last year, but it ended up not working out (apparently that seems to be a theme with my Christmas Trees). And I did buy the frosted net ribbon for this year, which means I did technically buy something ;).
Neutral Christmas Tree Decor
When it comes to adding the ornaments I always start with the biggest and work my way down to the smallest to make sure everything is evenly distributed.
