A beautiful Pink and Gold Girls Bedroom with a modern yet delicate touch, fun seating, and functional desk space perfect for all ages!
After 6 weeks of working not only on this room, but on our whole house I can finally say that we have one room complete – A Pink and Gold Girls Bedroom for my little Addi! This bedroom pushed me harder than anything else in terms of design. My daughter is totally opposite of me when it comes to style. She is bold and bright and very girly. I am more black, white, and neutral. (My son is totally my style) But this pink and gold bedroom really made me stretch myself and I’m sooo happy with how it turned out. I’ve never felt so accomplished! This all means….Today is One Room Challenge Reveal Day! YAY! A huge thank you to Hayneedle for providing product to make this room happen! Here’s a quick before photo… You can see more in week 1’s post.
For this room I had to bring not only my vision to life, but my vision had to be my daughters vision. This gave me a slight glimpse into what it would be like to work with clients, and hats off to all you interior designers because my daughter is pretty easy to please!
When I put the board and batten up I knew I wanted to paint it a color instead of the more traditional white. Addi was completely on board. She’s always wanted gold incorporated and that I actually love!

I wanted this room to be modern, yet delicate because that is totally her personality. It needed to be girly and not make her feel all grown up, yet grow with her (mom dilemma right there). Most importantly it needed to have a giant desk because she LOVES to draw and do pretty much anything with paper!
Addi loves any form of office supplies so when I ran across these at Hobby Lobby it was a perfect fit to tie in her ghost chair.

Speaking of chairs, this hanging wicker chair from Hayneedle seriously makes the room!
It’s for sure her new favorite place to sit and she’s absolutely adorable sitting in it. I just want to squeeze her and keep her little for all the days!! <3
I’ve always wanted gorgeous original hardwood floors. It’s been a long time dream of mine and when we refinished these floors I knew there was a reason I’ve always wanted them. They make my heart happy and to be honest I feel like they pull the whole room together!

The rug was an exception to the pink and gold theme. It definitely has pink, but I wanted something to ground this room, it needed an anchor to break up all the feminine soft touches without taking away from it.
If you follow me on IG you might remember I took a poll about the nightstand. I showed this fuzzy ottoman and more traditional gold nightstand. Man you guys HATED that ottoman… or at least didn’t like it because I think like 80% of you told me to walk away… but I just couldn’t. It was calling my name and I knew Addi would fall in love with it. I by no means take for granted yall’s opinions because you are amazing and have helped me with a lot of things, but sometimes you just have to not care what other people think and go with your gut. I’m pretty happy with that decision because it totally fits my daughter’s personality and its a multi functional piece of furniture!
I think that about covers all that chit chat for today… now let’s look at some more pretty pictures!
