Summer is in full swing here at the Cherished Bliss house! The kids are getting tan, the water hose is constantly on, the house can’t seem to stay clean, and I feel like I’m feeding a hungry army of little people. Definite signs of summer. I guess that means it’s time for me to get the house all ready for summer! I have big plans for some DIY projects and I’m starting off with my laundry room (see the plans here). But let’s skip past all the sawdust and paint today and look at some pretty decorations! I’ve teamed up with some amazing ladies today and we’re all giving you a tour of our Summer Entryways! We currently have this little bench from At Home in our entryway. It’s the perfect place for our kids to put their shoes on. I’ll let you in on my secret… every pair of shoes goes straight in these buckets. I’m no organizational freak by any means, but certain things do drive me crazy and shoes are one of them!
This bench may or may not also be where we stack all our returns and random things we bring in from the car. Just being honest ; )

During the summer do your kids seem to go through towels like crazy? I swear mine think drying off with a towel in the backyard is equivalent to using a paper towel.
Just so we are clear my mudroom rarely looks this good. During the summer I make my kids hang up their “outdoor towels” in the this space so they are easily accessible for outdoor play. That way I’m not washing a load of towels every day just so they can dry of their feet!
Which basically means my pretty shiplap wall is covered in brightly colored beach towels.
But can I just sip on my wine and pretend it always looks like this. You know… in “Mom’s dream world” -where all our mom dreams come true!!
