Due to a lack of finished rooms in our house, this Christmas is shaping up to look a little different. My son got a full sized tree in his room and I spent a lot of time in my daughter’s room with some Christmas Decor. My kids aren’t mad about it though! I’m definitely not upset either because it means that my bathroom, kitchen, and living room are all under renovation and will soon become the result of my vision and lots of hard work! But today we are going to talk about these adorable Rose Gold Christmas Ornaments and how they fit perfectly with my daughter’s new Pink and Gold Bedroom.
These ornaments are SO EASY to make, and the perfect craft for your kiddos! I used wooden shapes, so you could easily tailor these around your kids if you wanted something a little different! I painted them in the FolkArt Metallic Acrylic Paint which is a gorgeous finish for Christmas Ornaments. The FolkArt Metallic Paint is a premium, artist-quality acrylic paint, perfect for all your DIY decorative craft paint projects. It’s rich, thick, creamy texture ensures smooth brushability for exceptional blending, highlighting and shading on a wide variety of porous surfaces, such as wood, canvas, tin, terra cotta, fabric, and paper mache. With a beautiful metallic finish, FolkArt Metallic Acrylic Paint is acid-neutral, water-based, and non-toxic—making cleanup simple with soap and water.
Rose Gold Christmas Ornaments Tutorial
Let’s gather up some supplies so you can make your own!
Supplies:
- FolkArt Metallics Acrylic Paint in Rose Gold and Antique Gold
- Mod Podge Extreme Glitter Formula
- Paint Brushes
- Mod Podge Brushes
- Hot Glue Gun
- Gold thread
- Scissors
Paint Wooden Ornaments
To get started paint one side of the stars and the sides, lay down to dry. Once dry flip over and paint the remaining sides.
Sparkly Star Christmas Ornaments
Now that the paint is dry it’s time to add a little sparkle to the ornaments. I used the Extreme Glitter Mod Podge Formula with the Mod Podge Brush and let that dry as well.
Make Your Own Christmas Ornaments
Let’s put all the pieces together now! I just simply cut a strand of gold thread and sandwiched it between two stars using a hot glue gun. It’s super easy! Make sure and let it dry and trim away any glue strings left behind!

I have the same package of mini stars and am still deciding on what to do with them. I like your idea of making mini ornaments to be enjoyed year round. They are adorable!
