We are officially in the month of December and the Christmas posts are about to start pouring out. Typically I try to get everything done by mid December so I can spend a few weeks enjoying my family! This is always a crazy busy season for us with Church and Work so a little rest is always needed! Today I’m teaming up with some lovely ladies to bring you Christmas Home Tours all week long, so this is just to first few of many! Make sure and scroll through the whole post so you don’t miss out on any of the tours listed at the bottom!
I’ve already shared my Christmas Entryway and our Christmas Mantel and today it’s all about the Kitchen and Dining Room. I don’t typically do a whole lot in these rooms because they are used quite often so it feels a little silly to go too crazy with the decor and just be moving things out of our way constantly. Simplicity is something I’m always trying to add more of in our lives so it was certainly added in these rooms this season!
Our dining room consists of a simple table runner, concrete tray, birch candles, and a little fresh greenery on top of my herb printables.
The concrete tray was something I made earlier this year, and I just added a few LED candles for some simple warmth in this space. I like having the candles sitting on a tray because if it does need to be moved it make it very easy to just set it to the side! I also just added a few sprigs of fresh cedar garland for a little color.
The greenery on the picture frames totally made the space feel so much for festive. They were just little scrap pieces of the cedar garland that fell off so it was practically free, haha! (not really, nothings free). Then I threw some little red berries from some stems I had. Easy peasy!
The Kitchen mainly just consisted of a few red accents and some little Christmas pieces I had lying around.
I added the wreath above the kitchen sink and the garland above our pantry. I’ll actually be doing a tutorial on that garland soon because it’s a super cheap way to incorporate fresh greens into your decor! Plus you won’t believe how easy it is!
I got the metal letters at Hobby Lobby and paired them with these adorable deer salt and pepper shakers. I don’t actually put salt in pepper in them, but aren’t they just the cutest little things??
And of course my little coffee sign is still in the kitchen, because there are no truer words!! ; )
I found those adorable little cookie cutters at Target as part of the Hearth and Hand Line. I can’t wait to make little cookies with them, but for now they shall just sit on my counter!
