I’ve always been on the fence between Fall and Christmas being my favorite season. I like both for their own reasons, but the reason I love Christmas Decor the most is how cozy it is and the soft warm glow at night. I’ll be sharing my home in all it’s candlelit glory, but for now I’m here to take you on a tour during the day! I’ve teamed up with an amazing group of bloggers to share our homes with you!! If you’re here visiting from Just a Girl and Her Blog, WELCOME, I’m so happy to have you here join me today! Now let’s grab a cup of coffee and I’ll take you on our Modern Rustic Christmas Home Tour!
If you step into our home, you will… well, you will be greeted by a construction area, so let’s just jump past that and go straight into our formal dining and family room!
Modern Rustic Christmas Decor
Originally I was so against having the dining room table here, but after wrestling with it I decided to give it a shot because nothing else made sense. I don’t know why I didn’t see it before, because I absolutely adore having this dining space away from our Kitchen. (So I don’t have to look at the cooking mess while we eat). I’ve never really had this. We’ve always had pretty open floor plans so it was a welcomed change!
I set up this Christmas Tablescape before Thanksgiving (I just took the little trees off) and it was so fun to sit at a table and enjoy a meal like we were visiting Downton Abbey. Admittedly we are normally a rushed, paper plate kind of family with all our kids extra curricular activities. I can’t suggest enough to set a table the correct way and enjoy a meal every once in a while. It’s good for the soul! Get all the details for our Christmas Tablescape here!

Modern Rustic Christmas Decor in Family Room
Right in between our family room and dining room I put our new (old) desk to kind of divide the spaces. Plus it gives me a place to work while still running this crazy household! I topped it with all the wooden trees I got from Harp Design Co (you can get a 15% discount by using my code CHERISHEDBLISS). You might remember them from our early Christmas Mantel I shared a few weeks ago.
I did end up changing out our Christmas Mantel once the fresh garland was available. I just can’t go a Christmas season without having some kind of fresh Greenery somewhere in our home!

We finally added a TV stand. I had a really large media cabinet, but it just wasn’t working in the space once I decided to use the front part of the room as our formal dining area.
We’ve officially entered December and while I usually try to wrap up my Christmas shopping pretty early, I’ve barely started this year. But I did get a few things under the tree.

Modern Rustic Christmas Kitchen Decor
Let’s take a walk through the family room into our kitchen. I haven’t shared much of this space since we remodeled it last year, but mainly because I’m still working on the breakfast area.
I never do a lot in the kitchen. I’m not known for being the most organized person, but I absolutely hate it when there’s a bunch of stuff on our kitchen counters. If it were up to me I’d put everything away and leave it completely bare, but that’s not realistic! ;) So I put a few things out!

I added a wreath to the window and sprinkled around a few clippings from our yard and leftovers from the mantel.
Open Shelving in the Kitchen
I get asked all the time if I still like not having upper cabinets. And if I’m being totally honesty I definitely do, however I kinda wish I had some uppers. I that feeling will go away when we get our breakfast room cabinets all finished, because that’s a whole wall of cabinets which will allow me to store some of the less used items and open up more space in our actual kitchen.
With that said though I definitely do NOT regret doing it. I use cutting boards all the time and having them so easily accessible is nice!
And that does it for our Modern Rustic Christmas home tour this year. I still have so many spaces left to share with you guys, hopefully there will be more ready for our Spring home tour. But we are really trying to take it easy and enjoy the warm cozy glow of the Christmas nights. After the new year we will be hitting the projects hard yet again!

Your bathroom cabinet’s appearance is a bit outdated! You have the most effective options: to tear all of them out and placed new cabinets that may be certainly highly-priced and time-consuming. Another alternative is to paint your bathroom cabinets; it is quite simple and a lot less price.
