The temperatures here in Utah have actually dropped to a point where it actually feels like Fall, and I couldn’t be more excited. Fall is my favorite season for many reasons…. the weather, the clothes, the colors and pretty much everything else! I recently shared our Fall Mantel and today I’m sharing our whole Living Room. If here your visiting from Cami’s blog Tidbits, WELCOME! I’m thrilled to have you here and hope you enjoy our little tour! You can also find me on Instagram for sneak peeks and ideas!
This year I decided to use a little bit of fur which isn’t my normal, but I really wanted to bring in some cozy textures. I layered this off white fur rug I found at Homegoods on top of our jute rug, and then added a fur throw pillow in the corner of our sofa. So far our dog is in love with the new fur rug! Can you blame him?
I always use a little bit of greenary no matter what season because it just brings a little bit of life to the room. It’s amazing how a plant, either real or fake can transform a room! My fake fiddle leaf fig isn’t there because I’ve never tried to grow a real one. I have, I promise! Admittedly I haven’t tried in Utah and our Wisconsin home did stay quite drafty, so maybe in a healthier environment I could actually grow one. An unlikely thought!
I found these faux olive branches and knew I’d use them somewhere. Placed under these white pumpkins just seemed like the perfect fit. I don’t have a ton of Fall decor in our home for a few reasons. One, I have been out of town quite a bit lately and two, I couldn’t find hardly any pumpkins yet and I always love incorporating real pumpkins. So right now we just have a few touches here and there, but the last year or so I have really been trying to simplify our decor transitions.
I definitely wanted our home to have a warm feel to it without making it feel dark and gloomy. We get a lot of light in this space and I didn’t want to take away from that. In addition to my normal grays and whites, I decided to throw in a little bit of natural blues and greens. The greens usually come from the more natural elements like the pumpkins and the greenary. I added some blues into our pillows so it wasn’t too neutral, but still me of course!
Wood tones always make a space feel more cozy! In addition to using actual wood I find that old books bring that same feeling to a room! They are one of my favorite things to use in decor because they go with anything and can be re used season after season without getting “old”. The are like a neutral backdrop!
Soon I’ll be sharing our Dining Room and Kitchen, but it’s not over yet! Be sure to stop by and check out my sweet friend Jamie, from So Much Better with Age! Â She has a gorgeous style that will leaving you drooling over her photography!

Love all the cozy little touches you have done here using neutrals with just some touches of blues to go with your grays.
That big wicker chest is to die for! Absolutely love it.
And you can’t help but notice the huge wooden acorn and pear sitting over on the top of the bookcase. Where were you lucky enough to find those unique pieces?
Great job and so looking forward to the rest of your house tour.

One of first items in your room I noticed was that “to die for” wicker basket/end table. Also did notice your very lovely arrangement with greens and white pumpkins, so casual and beautifully styled in that basket on coffee table I wanted at American furniture. Your sofa with rug etc. make such a comfy arrangement with gorgeous pillows. Nice to sit, have conversation, enjoy some tv/movie.
Have seen some faux fur at Joann’s, will look into getting a piece big enuf for small rug, (with coupon of course). We have a big dark gray shag rug in our living room, little faux fur rug would help to break up sea of dark gray rug. Our walls are very light gray with white on furniture and light colored sofa. Glad I saw your faux fur rug to inspire me.
I feel so fortunate to be able to take peeks into bloggers homes to be inspired, so many great ideas.
Have wonderful weekend

Welcome, and thanks for checking out this home tour and interview with Julia and Chris of Minneapolis! I’ve loved getting to know these two over the years we’ve been in homes just a few houses away from each other and also they need to check https://essay-reviewer.com/pendrago-com-review/ site for quality essay work. Chris and Julia moved into their south Minneapolis home in August 2008.

Renovating a whole house can be really expensive, so if you can save money on something, just do it. Indeed, nowadays it is not at all necessary to buy new sofas; you have everything you need to simply update the old ones with the help of sofa cushion foam. It will be much more affordable
