Thanksgiving. It’s quite literally the most delicious holiday of the year! There are main dishes, side dishes, dessert dishes, and dirty dishes! All the best kinds of dishes ; ) Let’s take a look at some of the ways we prepare for Thanksgiving.
Anytime we have Thanksgiving at our house we clean like crazy. We clean places that I honestly forget we have. But on Thanksgiving everything from our front yard to our garbage disposal is sparkling clean! I generally start in the kitchen because that is where all the action takes place. I bust out my vinegar cleaner for all the surfaces both hidden and visible.
I make sure my drains are good to go because when you have a whole lot of people eating a whole lot of food, well it’s just not good for your drains! Did you know the most common causes of clogs are hair, grease, and soap scum, and Thanksgiving is the most popular day to call a plumber. Nobody wants that happening when we should all be unbuttoning our pants so we can kick up our feet on the couch.
If I sense at all that my drains are not doing well I use Liquid Plumbr to make sure it will be smooth sailing in the plumbing department. When it comes to fixing household clogs, don’t be afraid to do it yourself. With proper maintenance and the right products and tools on hand, you can skip the plumber and keep your drains running smoothly at their maximum capacity.
Once our house is clean from top to bottom comes my favorite part. The decorating. I always try to incorporate my kids in as much of this as possible. Just shove that OCD aside and let them decorate away! Personally I like to do a little prep work, and bring them in at a time that won’t cause frustration for either me or the kiddos.
It’s always such a confidence boost for the kids to know they have helped in preparing for such a special time.
A few weeks ago I shared my simple Fall Tablescape, and how it can easily be transitioned right into a beautiful Christmas setting. Don’t underestimate how easy it can be, and don’t feel like you have to go buy a ton of things to make a beautiful table. For our runner, I just used a throw!
Then I added a few pumpkins, apples, and candles. With those few additions your Thanksgiving table will be guest-ready in no time!
Now you can move on to cooking delicious things like an Orange Balsamic Glazed Ham, Mashed Potatoes, and of course the Desserts!
So let’s break down our Thanksgiving Preparations:
- Clean every visible and non visible surface
- Prepare for any unfortunate accidents by making sure those drains are clog-free with Liquid Plumbr!
- Decorate
- Cook up a storm
- Last but certainly not least enjoy the day with your Family and share with each other all the things you are grateful for!
And just as a reminder why it’s so important to be clog free during the holidays, check out this video!

A lot of people add or subtract things from their original list once they realize what it’s really like to head out to a grocery store during the busiest time of year. I take suggestions from https://www.paperwritingpro.com/ to add extra things at that time.
Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends to gather to celebrate with good food, drink and business deals. Make a shopping list and stick to it. I often visit https://masterbundles.com/templates/presentations/powerpoint/thanksgiving/ site to get premium thanksgiving templates. You can’t always be in the mood to buy something at the last minute, so be sure that you have all your ingredients prepped before starting cooking. If you are making any special dishes, make sure they’re in your refrigerator before you need them.
