Let’s be honest with each other here. This post is me completely stalling because I don’t have anything new to report for the One Room Challenge. I’m waiting on some furniture deliveries and I can’t really do anything until that gets here. We wrapped up all the painting, trim, and carpet in the first week (after I worked like 12 hours/day for 5 days so I could get us sleeping in our room again).
But before we get into the design process I thought I’d take this time to share some gorgeous spaces that have truly inspired me for our bedroom!
First up is non other than Studio McGee. Everything Shea touches just seems to turn into gorgeous spaces and I just adore her styling. They shared this Rye New York Project earlier this year and it’s just absolute perfection. This particular bedroom speaks to my high contrast, cozy, minimal loving heart so much!
The balance of texture is something I’m really shooting for in our bedroom and Juniper Home really nailed it here!
Another gorgeous airy bedroom from Stuido McGee
Cozy minimalism at it’s finest from Leclair Decor
These bedrooms are absolutely gorgeous and I can only hope that my bedroom turns out half as gorgeous as these. If you’re just tuning in you can catch up on the two previous weeks below!
Be sure and follow along on Instagram Stories for all the behind the scenes looks, tips, and tricks!
Here’s my plan for the Spring 2020 One Room Challenge. It very well might change just given potential shipping delays, but I’m going to do my best to stay on track!
- First Week: Before Tour and Design Plans
- Second Week: Painting, Trim Work, & New Carpet
- Third Week: Inspiration
- Fourth Week: Free Printables
- Fifth Week: Skipped
- Sixth Week: New Bed – How to Make a Cozy Minimalist Bed
- Seventh Week: Bedroom Office Space
- Eighth Week: Cozy Modern Master Bedroom Reveal

I can’t wait to see next weeks !
I really love the grey rug you have in your inspiration. And the artwork. I don’t know why but I’ve found it harder to choose art for my bedroom than any other room. Thanks for sharing
These bedrooms are absolutely gorgeous and I can only hope that my bedroom is as beautiful as this.
