Don’t you love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address. – Joe Fox
Seriously though… New York in the Fall has to be one of my favorites! Fun Fact… I’ve always always wanted to live in New York, but for now I will delight in our visit to the city this week! Be sure to follow along on Instagram because I’ll be sharing a ton in my stories I’m sure!! I’ll be attending the BHG StyleMaker’s event again this year, but the hubs is joining me and we’ve turned it into a little anniversary trip! Another fun fact: we honeymooned in NYC so it holds a special place in our hearts! We are pretty much thrilled!
But let’s talk a little Fall Decor. Today I’ve teamed up with another amazing group of bloggers to share our homes with you! So Welcome to our little space in this world! I’m thrilled to have you here today!!
I shared our Fall Living Room last week, and today I’ll be sharing our Kitchen and Dining Room! Our house has a very open floor plan and neither the kitchen nor the dining room is a very large space, so they just kind of run into one another.
I didn’t do a whole lot for Fall this year in the Kitchen and Dining Room. Both of these spaces get used quite often so I prefer to keep it where I’m not constantly moving things all around to accommodate our everyday life. I’m a pretty practical decorator, and we do have to leave here!
I added a few copper touches to hold our fruit and our chicken eggs! Guys, I have to say, I aboslutely LOVE having backyard chickens! They’re fairly low maintenance (for an animal), and it’s like Christmas Morning every time I go out and collect eggs!!
I found these awesome mugs at Homegoods one day and had to have them. During the Fall I drink an astronomical amount of hot tea and coffee, so new mugs make me kinda giddy!
I’m totally swooning over this copper silverware I found at Walmart! Don’t they just feel like Fall when you look at them? It doesn’t take much to get me giddy in the Fall!
I also tend to do a little bit more cooking in the Fall. I love preparing soups and hearty meals! Ahh, is there anything unlikeable about this beautiful season? <3
Our leaves are just starting to transition to Fall and I love watching the color slowly spread through each individual leaf! Naturally this seemed like the perfect way to decorate our table! I always try to keep our centerpieces fairly simple and moveable since we eat here every night. Real quick….. Am I the only person who can’t stand there being an obstruction on a table? I have to be able to see everyones faces or I feel like I’m talking to a wall… is that weird? Maybe so… but I definitely have to have centerpieces that I can move super fast!
I almost changed out our herb printables, but they seemed to fit so I’ll probably just leave them there and change them out for Christmas.
